Sumer music fun-time sounds
Ever since I first started really listening to music and it became more than just background noise, I have associated songs and bands, with seasons, summer in particular. Some of these choices, in retrospect, have been unfortunate, but others are songs on albums that I still love, and others still make me want to “move my dancing feet“. This summer, the song that keeps going through my head is “Chicken Payback” by A Band of Bees. The video (which is quite cool) can be seen here: wmv or real.
I’m not sure if I love it because it’s catchy, because it has the word “monkey” in it, or because the first time I heard it I thought it was an old song from 1963. Whatever the case, it’s a great, poppy, fun song for cutting a rug at your neighborhood backyard pool party (now I sound like I am from 1963).
I enjoyed that song thoroughly. Especially the video, now I’m going to go play dance dance revolution a game I happen to own and love. Also, it was good to see a new post :). Hope all is well
