Cool Technology or Stupid Technology?
I discovered this morning that I could IM from my cell phone. At first I was all, “Oooh! That’s so cool.” Then I thought about it for a few seconds and I began to wonder why I wouldn’t just call the person instead of try to type a message out on a 10-digit keypad and then wait the 2 minutes it takes for my phone to send the message over the network. IM-ing via cellphone… Who are the ad wizards who came up with that one?
Oh, I am SO with you on that one. I have a friend who loves IMing via phone, and I just cannot fathom the attraction. It’s a PHONE, for pete’s sake.
BTW, Ted and I miss you guys. We need to get together soon.

I have to say that I use it from time to time in cirmcumstances such as when I’m sitting
in a conference and I remember I need to let my husband know something and
I don’t want to get up and walk out. BUT, I recently discovered that I’m paying extra
so it doesn’t seem as necessary as when I thought it was free.
