There’s an old sniper saying for the benefit of their targets: “Don’t bother running; you’ll only die tired.”
I believe there is some wisdom there for the Democrats to learn from. Right now, every pundit and his sister is saying what the Democrats have to do now after they’ve been spit out by the American people like so much spoiled milk, and most of that advice is how the Democrats can try and be more competitive in the political arena. To me, this is just putting up fresheners to cover up the stench of a rotting corpse. Sure, some measures can keep the Democrats potentially viable for a while longer, but it’s all just delaying the inevitable demise.

Yeah, Fletchamn one-party rule rox! It’s worked so well in the past. Just look at the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany, and shit even the Taliban in Afghanistan worked out well for the world. Single-party rule with no room for dissent and blatant kow-towing to a party line is definitely the way to go. I am sure that’s what the founding fathers had in mind!
BTW, check the election returns, buddy. Contrary to your fantasies of America spitting out Democrats like “spoiled milk”, your sainted leader did not win with 100% of the vote. The election was close and almost half of this country still thinks we are on the wrong track and still thinks Bush is unfit to be President. I know we will be proven right, though I am frightened by what might happen in the meantime.
I pray goons like you will one day realize that governing this country is not some game where consolidating power and winning at all costs is all that matters. I have a feeling my prayers will go unanswered. The good news for people like me, however, is that hubris is often the most effective fatal flaw.
