A Regrettable Soundbite
The President (or maybe his handlers) probably wishes he could take back that “turn the corner” stuff. Kerry’s already beaten on it a few times. Here’s the latest from an article describe how bad the lousy jobs report is for the President:
Bush’s Democratic challenger John Kerry blamed the low job creation number on Bush’s economic policies. “The president keeps saying we’ve turned the corner. But unfortunately, today’s job numbers further demonstrate that our economy may be taking a U-turn instead.’
So far Kerry has done a pretty good job of turning Bush’s catchphrases around (though this one was admittedly a fairly easy task).
