Speaking of Enron
Walking back from my trip to get my daily latte (see I really am a fancy-pants liberal elitist), I noticed a local news van pulling up in front of the now eerily empty Enron building. It was probably taking some stock footage because it is such a nice summer day here in H-town or maybe because the ex-ceo was led away in cuffs this morning and charged with 11 criminal counts.
Seeing the van brought back such fond memories of those days in December 2001. Good times. Good times. Man, that whole episode still ranks as the most surreal experience of my life.
