Oh boy, gridiron season is fast approaching! In many ways pre-season is the best time of the NFL year. Right now hopes are still high and slates are clean. Anything can happen. Right?
MSNBC has released its NFL preseason preview. Unfortunately, their preview takes some of that preseason wind out of my sails. Their predictions make things sound very bleak for my beloved New York Football Giants. Don’t even get me started on my college alma mater either. I’d be happy if we won one game this year. So much for preseason hopefulness.

Hey, don’t feel badly. My alma mater lost 54 games in a row that ended only when the AD scheduled a small Catholic school in Wisconsin that no one had ever heard of. Even then, we had to kick a field goal as time expired to pull the game out. Things could always be worse….
