It is a gloomy, rainy day here in Houston, and as I result I feel pretty uninspired. I guess I shouldn’t let the weather get to me, but it does.
I know it’s over twenty-four hours since the Sunday circuit has ended, but I will be selfish and share a couple of thoughts about Sunday’s gab fests:
Harvey Pitt: He has a huge ego. Perhaps that is a good thing for a man in his position. He used a lot of words on Sunday and did not say much (I can relate). I don’t like him any more than I did before I heard him talk, but I don’t dislike him anymore either.
Dick Gephardt: 9% more exciting than Tom Daschle.
John McCain: Is it wrong for me to like a Republican so much?
John Edwards: I saw him on a CNN appearance with Orrin Hatch. I wasn’t too impressed. Maybe it was the subject matter. Maybe it was the fact that I couldn’t focus on anything but the bile creeping up my esophagus after Hatch started arguing in favor of granting wire-tap warrants without any probable cause.
The aforementioned Orrin Hatch: This was on Saturday, but what the heck. Sen. Hatch admitted to being a “huge athletic supporter” on NPR’s “Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me“. It was hilarious.
